State Bank of India (SBI) customers can avail these 5 telephone banking services

Customers of State Bank of India (SBI) will no longer need to visit nearest branches to avail certain banking services as the bank offers a number of important services over the phone. Recently, SBI released two new toll-free numbers, calling its customers who can enjoy banking services on their phone, even on public holidays, as well as second Saturdays and Sundays.

“Meet your banking needs, just call!” Call the SBI Contact Center toll free on 1800 1234 or 1800 2100,” SBI said in a tweet dated July 3.

SBI customers can avail the following services by calling one of the two toll-free numbers mentioned above.

1) Account balance and details of the last five transactions

2) Status of blocking ATM card as well as sending

3) Apply for a new ATM card after the blocking of the previous one

4) Check the status of the book shipment

5) Details of withholding tax (TDS), certificate of deposit interest by e-mail

“Please call SBI’s 24/7 helpline number i.e. 1800 1234 (freephone), 1800 11 2211 (freephone), 1800 425 3800 (freephone), 1800 2100 (toll-free) or 080-26599990. The toll-free numbers are accessible from all landlines and mobiles in the country,” SBI said on its website.

State Bank of India is the largest commercial bank in terms of assets, deposits, branches, customers and employees. It is also the largest mortgage lender in the country which has so far fulfilled the home buying dreams of more than 30 lakh Indian families. The bank’s mortgage portfolio amounts to 5.62 lakh crore. As of March 31, 2022, the bank has a deposit base of more than 40.5 lakh crore with a CASA ratio of 45.28% and advances of more than $28 million.

SBI holds a market share of 35.3% and 23.7% respectively in home loans and car loans. SBI has the largest network of 22,266 branches and 65,030 ATMs/ADWMs in India with 68,016 outlets in BC. The number of customers using internet banking and mobile banking stands at 100 million and 48 million respectively.
