Following several complaints over four days, public sector lender Bank of India has restored its online services, the bank said in a statement. The bank said earlier this week on Twitter that it was upgrading its core banking system. However, following this upgrade, customers took to Twitter alleging that online services were down. What surprised them the most was that the problem lasted four days.
The bank, however, said all of its systems were working properly, News18 reported earlier. “…RTGS, NEFT, Internet Banking and BOI Mobile services are now live after the upgrade and are about to stabilize,” the bank said later in a Twitter post.
Also on Twitter, Bank of India responded to a customer saying the same.
“Sir, sorry for the inconvenience. We would like to inform you that all banking services have been restored. However, if you are still having issues, please contact us via DM,” he said in response to a customer complaint.

What happened at Bank of India?
On January 23, state-owned lender Bank of India said in a statement on Twitter that it had scheduled the migration process for its customers as part of its core system upgrade from January 21, and that the process will be completed by January 24.
However, from that day, customers started complaining about failed online transactions. Complaints have started pouring in on Twitter stating that they are unable to perform key banking services including online banking, check clearings, failed transactions and more. According to CNBC-TV18, the bank said the issues were due to “minor issues” with the upgrade.
